Blackmouth?
      #317357 - 01/15/08 09:40 AM

Anybody been out? Where's the bite? Weather forecast is good, except for fog, and the fish checker reports havent been too bad. I'm itching to try out my new scotty electric.

Fished area 8.2 Sunday and we picked up one barely legal one sub-legal.
From what I've been hearing Kingston has been decent. and I'll bet that run from Pilot point to PNP will fish good once it opens.

Good luck!

Thomas and I will be out Sunday. I would like to be out Saturday too, but that remains to be seen. Thomas wants to go to the bar but PNP doesn't sound like a bad idea either.

I've heard the Pilot Pt area can be good. I fished it a few times but never did much good there. Long run from Everett.

We are still hoping to get out tomorrow, but we will see if the wind kicks up. Don't mind the cold, but fishing in 2-3 waves sucks.

The run from Everett to PnP isn't too bad, my buddy got the biggest motor he could on pop-can and it scoots along pretty good. Even after he nicked up the blade running it through the mud.... DOH!

I've made that Everett - PNP run in the past, I wouldn't do it unless there's no wind and none forecasted. On a nice day, that north wind always seems to kick up later in the morning, and it's a loooonnnnnggggg way back into that north wind.

I didn't make it out for Blackmouth - got too busy on Saturday and NOAA's website had a small craft advisory warning for Sunday. We went out to Lake WA on Sunday for a few hours trolling for cutts but got nada. I hope to get out next weekend.

We thought about taking a spin out Saturday, but didn't and Sunday was a definite no-go with the small craft advisories and gale warnings.

The weather's looking choice tomorrow, so we're gonna give it a go. Launching outta Everett - anyone been out lately? Creel reports said they were killing em last weekend up at Roche Harbor, not quite the same for 8-2 and 9 but it should be a nice day regardless.

We are getting to head out this morning, provided everyone wakes up and gets here on time. Still debating where to go, but it will be nice to go out when it isn't 15 knot winds and 1-3 waves. It has been a long time since we have seen decent weather.

We went 0-1. I was the cracker-er. Slumps are very frustrating.

Went out today. Fished Possession starting about 7:15 until 10:30, no fish, no marks, no bait balls either. I was the ONLY boat on the Bar. Tried the Racetack until about 2:00, same, same. 3-4 boats out there. Fish checker said checked 9 boats, no fishes. Good news, my new Scotty electric DR worked great. Last year March was Ok on Possession, so maybe it will pick up. Sounds like all the fish are in the San Juans at present.
