I got down there bout 1015... Fished until 1245... Got a couple bites... Saw a nice 6-8 pounder and a 10-12er...
Other then that many boats are out there the water is freezing and its a slow bite... so you need as light of weight you can go with and a really good feeling... and you need to work your baits slowly..

That's a 'big Roger that.' Fished the Denmon Bar area Friday and Saturday. With a fly rod you really had to pick your water due to flows. Truth be told, the second day I actually brought along a drift rod!

I know, I know .... I'm probably going straight to hell.

NOOOOOOO. NEEEEEEEVER!!!

Actually the upper river has a hell of a lot of 'turbidity' at the moment. http://waterdata.usgs.gov/or/nwis/uv?14339000

Will be a few days before we're back into 'fly water' conditions. That said, most of the winter fish are still holding well below Grants Pass. Due to flow, it's (with a few exceptions) a gear show.
