Managed to get out on the Coos system 10 times in the last 3 weeks. the Pink corkie-Alaska Nitro egg combo seduced 127 Steelies to the bank for me with the ratio of natives being just slightly more than hatchery fish. put the wood shampoo to 14 and released the rest unharmed. got 1 over 20# and half a dozen over 15#. put up 9 quarts of eggs so far for next year. here's a few of the pic's I took during that period.

Happy Birthday Tony! Jake, as you can see in the pictures the river I fish is pretty small, it's a short coastal river (only 30 miles long) that rises and drops very quickly. the fish push in and back out very quickly as well. we're basically done for the year as the river is extremely low and clear right now. our natives and hatchery fish run simultaneously here so we generally only get 4-5 good weeks on this system with Valentines day about the end.

RUB IT IN, GO AHEAD AND RUUUBBBBBBB IT IN.
God and here I thought I was on a roll; small change apparently. Question though: what's an alaskan 'nitro egg?' Fly guy, but I've heard of them, just no idea what they are.

Yep Fred, it is made by our very own AKChemist, it's good stuff for curing up eggs. I've seen his secret lab, and I'll tell you he had some eggs cured for sure. Bill's the man!

Thanks Gentlemen; I wasn't even close on what I thought the 'product' was. Not even close ... so much for a fly pattern. :>(
