Walleye Lakes In Oregon new
      #300129 - 09/03/07 01:05 PM

Does anyone know of any walleye lakes or rivers except the columbia in oregon....

I personally think that they should stock Diamond Lake Near Crater Lake with Walleye cause of the Tui Chub problem they had....

Any Help will work

Thanks
Greg

I've fished 10 mile alot and have never heard of Walleyes in there. Excellent bass with lots of tournaments. Are the Walleyes recent? They used to have some Wipers.

Greg,

September 2006
The tui chub problem has been addressed, corrected , and Diamond has been replanted with trout.

While I respect your opinion, Diamond doesn't need walleye. Neither does any other lake in this state, IMO. Let's keep what we have and enjoy it (that's sasparilla btw)

I don't believe there are any walleye anywhere near this lake.

Sorry about the false info. I wasn't exactly sure if there were any eyes in ten mile. My father in law is from that area and I thought he had mentioned that there were some there, but apperently not. What about brownlee res? Anyone know if there are any walleye there?

No walleyes in any of the Hell's Canyon Complex reservoirs (Brownlee, Oxbow, Hell's Canyon). None in the Snake above Lower Granite Dam for that matter. Not legally anyhow.

Hey dances,
Got this one in irrigon this morning. I only fished for 3 hours. I never did weigh him. I caught a female about the same size. I released her. I am planning of fishing allot in the next two weeks. I'll keep you posted. I was blading with a bottom walker. Everyone else was jigging.

Soak 'em in milk (or buttermilk) for about 15 minutes, and then roll the fillet in flour and fry it in butter till brown. MMMMMMMMM! You can use oil instead of butter as well. If you would like to spice things up, you can add cajun spice to the flour.

Thanks mojo,
We are going to eat it tomorrow. It looks like it will feed three adults. It probably would have fed 4 if I wouldn't have murdered it. I am still trying to perfect my filleting skills. Last fall I finally perfected my steelhead cleaning skills. It seems like there is a different way to clean every species. Especially sturgeon.

I tell you what, I could eat 2 fish that size all by myself. That walleye is the best thing going. I always figure a pound of fillets (pre cooking weight) per person.

Yeah, but before frying the little beauties I'd dress each fillet in a Panko overcoat.

I'm planning on walleye fishing all day on friday in irrigon. From dayling to dark. I have a hunch I'm going to get my 20 pounder. I am fishing pretty light. 12 lb test. I would cry like a little girl if I lost my wall hanger. I should change everything out. I'll tell you how I do.

NICE ONE!! I just got back from irrigon 30 minutes ago. Fished 2 hours after work. I picked up a buck around 5 pounds. I think I'm getting the hang of this.
