CAVEMAN.....Thanks again
      #325854 - 03/20/08 08:17 AM

Well, today is a milestone day of sorts. 4 years ago I was ready to buy a new pickup now you must understand that things mechanical are not of interest to me. When I posed the question here I got a pretty simple answer from caveman and it was all about buying a Ford. On his advice I did, understand I drive a lot of miles per year around 50k and I tow my boat or way worse my tractor or excavator.

Today I will pass 200,000 miles but more importantly in all of those sometimes brutally tough miles I have only had one injector go bad $250.00...period. What impresses me today is the fact that I still do not need new brakes, the brakes I have today are the same ones I had for my first mile.

Would I buy this truck again? No question.

Thanks Again Mike!

Doc, that sounds like you have a good truck on your hands. I am on my third blue oval, and it will most likely be around for years after I'm gone.

Same pads Jim....that's amazing....I go through pads very seldom in my hondas due to the many (60k +) freeway miles I drive but dang...."that's amazing"!!!! I love my Ford trucks that i've owned....my 97 is still chugging along at 210,000....same injectors, just change the plugs once in a while and the COPS with quality Motorcrafts and i'm good to go! Oh, should say....it's the wifes truck...she lets me borrow it from time to time!
