I followed a friend out of the office the other day...him in his freshly modded DMax...pipe, intake, programmer/chip, etc. Thing took off like a bat out of hell...very little smoke, and a mean growl. He pulls a monster fifth wheel toy hauler with it and needs the extra oomph. He got it. I think he claimed 475 hp and 600 lbs. Made my PSD f350 seem like a city bus. I'll be watching this thread as well....mine'll haul a house, it'll just take a while.

With todays prices I'm not worried about making a statement. You can pour a ton of money in after market accessories but will you ever get it back (unless you wanna be cool)? Any truck no matter what brand will pull a house.

At $4.10 a gallon if you want to hear a 40 year old man say some very nasty words just follow me to the pump....

I haven't ever used my cruise control as much as I do now. I look like my dad on the road now...slow and steady.

Anybody have or know anybody with a new tahoe or suburban with the Flex Fuel system. Curious as to what kind of mileage those are getting.

My 99 sub is getting 14mpg as of tonite, and my 99 454 is getting about 10mpg.

2005 F-250 crew cab longbed auto diesel. I'm getting around 18 (+/- 1) unloaded. About 15 when hauling the sled-O-matic 2200. I too am looking for some relief, and have been watching the net for some device that will up it to over 20, legitimately. I can't wait for the time I have to dump $100,000 on a hybrid pickup with enough juice to ahul my sled and a slide in camper.

I get about 16ish running around locally and a tad over 20 on the freeway.
Most reprogrammers claim 1-4 mpg gains with additional power.
Only 4k left on my 36K warranty, then I'm going to add some power options. Cold air intake, reprogrammer, exhaust.

I get a little over 20 at times, but more usually around 19.5. My truck is a '06 F350 with Zoodad, intake elbow, Rotella Synthetic, and Walker Big Truck Muffler.

My 2005 D max makes about 16 highway @75mph emp. My last trip towing just the DB it made 15ish running <65mph. Towning the SeaHawk(4500lb with gear and fuel) running 65mph I make about 12mpg. Load the camper on and tow a boat and its 10 or less depending on foot. These #'s are @ 4500' above sea level. I do better once I get west of the mountains. If I drop to 60mph I can add 1-2 mpg to the #s.
The one I hate is the camper&boat #'s. Most of my local trips run $100 in fuel not counting boat gas. Fuel $$$ putting a big hurt on my road trips.
