Actually, Waterfall is located on the west side of Prince of Wales Island (about 12 miles below the city of Craig)and there are no roads near here. We're strictly a fly in lodge fishing saltwater only for Salmon, Halibut, Ling Cod, and Red Snapper. Dealing with pay and other info, I'll discuss that on a one on one basis with who-ever contacts me. The question was also asked about being interested in advertising on steelheader.net, truth be told, I just found out about this site last night and have to spend more time checking it out first, but so far I like what I see and would have to discuss it with our marketing dept.

Waterfall is a world class king salmon resort. Have a couple friends that guided there over the years.

Scott, I have a special offer for you and you only! I'll think about giving you one of the new boats if you have no problem with me putting a "bunk-bed" in your room and making Pat your "roomie". Just as I thought.....Your probably happy with Waterfall 18 for now. Send me an email letting me know if your starting date needs to be like Dennis'. SM

I suggest you start working on at least a Coast Guard 6 Pack license if you want to guide. Once you have that, your major hurdle is crossed. Working as a boat boy, filleting fish, even working up to deck hand are all great ways to get in the door. Once the operator knows your work ethic, you have a start.

Camo, WF doesn't have deckhands on the boats, just the guide. There are other positions at the resort such as dockhand, fishcutter, etc. where guys have started out doing that then got licensed and started guiding. If your interested you might send AkScott a pm, he can tell you what positions may be available and answer any other questions you might have. Good luck.

25' Almars, 10 years ago we ran 22' Olympics. Last time I talked to AkScott, a couple weeks ago, I think he was still looking for 1-2 more.
