It wouldn't be right, but it could happen.

Dont matter to me where its caught. Any bass over 6 lbs is a HOG in my book, let alone a 20 pounder!! Be it caught in Japan, Mexico, USA, or anywhere for that matter.
But I think we will see a new record caught in the next couple years in cali.

Shaun.

A bass is a bass no matter where it came from as long as it's not "hand raised to break record" kind. Italy, Spain and Portugal all have Bass also.

I'm disappointed in you guys, OK, not really, if the World record bass comes from Japan, then that's OK. I wonder what a non-res license costs over there? And I wonder what the regs are like?

Qwill,
It's like a new Steelhead or Salmon record coming from the Great Lakes. Not native but still new record.

Most of the bass here came from Texas. No license needed to fish for bass here.

No license? Wow! For some reason I was thinking that they had very strict laws over there. I guess I was mixed up with somewhere else.
I do know that they make some awesome tackle over there.

Shaun.
