I'm going crazy not being able to fish for steelies now that the season is over. I am going to try for some late fish up around shady cove this weekend. If anyone has any info on weather there are fish up there let me know. I dont care if they are dark or not I just want to hook into some steel!!
Good stuff '10's.' 99% of the time I fish the Rogue, I'm actually sitting in my motor home as I type (across from the mouth of Evans Creek) and the rivers (see other thread) chugging right along.
The other 1% is the Applegate during the winter(or North Umpqua during the summer). Didn't recognize where the film was taken; what part of the river were you on?
In the video the first and second fish were right below the dam just under the bridge. The third and fourth fish where on some private property by the tree farm. We hooked a lot of fish at cantral buckley park right by the bridge and we also landed fish on the lower river by the tavern. We hooked and landed fish in every deep hole we could find. Unfortunately public land is hard to come by.
