I've been fishing Halibut at PA since the early 90's. My buddy and I fished PA in early May and we got our possession limits. We know the Halibut spots pretty well. We've been planning another trip but we've always had scheduling conflicts.
So now we have a trip planned to fish for Butts Thurs and Fri 6/12-13. Halibut closes 6/13. I see Ling Cod stays open until Sunday 6/15. Since we are over there anyway we thought we would try for Lings on Saturday 6/14.
Can anyone give any hints are where to fish for Ling Cod around PA? I've never fished for Lingcod at PA. I've seen guys bottom fishing the rocks and kelp beds between Freshwater Bay and Whiskey Creek. Is that any good?
Thanks for the help!

Thank you for the info guys. I've fished both the humps and the rockpile for Halibut, but never caught a ling at either place. I'll prob go west of Freshwater and try it. I know Freshwater itself is closed for 4 miles west of Angeles Pt. I've always wondered why the closure?

The closure is from July 1 thru October 31. It's to protect returning Elwha Chinook.

Where do they spawn Brady? Is there a hatchery or do they get to the dam and die?
