Millie doesn't like admitting that she's getting old. Buck can hear and see things she can't. He might be a wuss, but he's good at alerting her that something needs her attention.
I think they're going to make a good team.

LOL SouthFork took the words right out of my mouth.. er.. mind?.....errrr.. nope, definetly not mind :P
I get to go pick up my pup in 9 days. I thought for a while I was not going to get one after all, as I had the last male pick and one of the males died of choking last week. However, one of the other choosers ahead of me dropped out so I still get a pick.
Gotta hurry up and get the house remodeling done so I can pick up all the crap laying around. Last few weeks have been kind of intense what with all the new siding and front porch and storage shed. gonna clear out the back yard wrecking yard next.

The first pic is of Moose and no I didn't insult this dude by putting this on him. The wife did and he was so embarrassed.
This pic is of Molly and my does the estrogen flow. These pics were all taken within a few minutes. I guess she got tired of posing. LOL

Here's Lucy...about nine yrs old, give or take. We've had her for five. Somebody trained her fairly well, but she's got a little ADHD/anxiety and has a tough time listening, which I'm pretty sure is how she ended up a stray. She's been a fantastic dog, but has a hell of a time staying still for any length of time...hard to imagine that in a duck blind.

Pretty dog!
I adore Buck. He's proving to be very sweet natured and well behaved, but I still have a prefererence for blacks. They seem to smile more.

Here is Gunner after a couple hours on the river. He seems to bring me good luck as I was 2-4 that day. He is 3 months old or so and he gets to go on short excursions. He did proceed to "mark his spot" in the boat this time. Thank goodness for the washdown system.

It happens in the young age. Trouble did the same but I now know when it's time to hit the bank... No harm or foul and they make great companions

I know most of you guys have labs...which are awesome dogs, but I have a pretty awesome dog myself! She's no lab, but she is true wiener!!! Meet Hailey Jo...
 in her flip flops!
and she loves to cuddle.. 
she gets excited for Halloween.. 
and she LOVES to go FISHIN

Here's a pic of my buddy, Freddy. A true prize offered up by the Boise Animal Shelter. Not a dalmation, but rather a mix between a lab and another breed. From what I understand, from my son who picked him out of the litter, 10 of Freddy's litter mates were black, and Fred and another sibling came out the odd balls in the family. So far, after 5 years, he doesn't seem to have any identity problems. Best pet I've ever had....great personality, and no bad habits.

My favorite Chessy story...
…So there are these 2 guys hunting ducks in a duck-blind. The Fish-Cop walks up to check their licenses, stamps, birds etc., and this big Chesapeake strolls out of the blind and growls at him from about 50 yards away. The F&G Man says to the 2 guys, “Does your Chessy bite?” The closest guy takes a swig of his luke warm coffee and answers…”You ever know one that didn’t?” The Gamer says, “Well, just hold up your licenses and I’ll check ‘em from here…”
I'll bet a nickle Pez just cracked a smile. He loves that one too...

LoL I had a black lab that ate all the trim off one house corner, it was that old LP siding and she didn't eat that, just the cedar trim.
This guy is gonna have to like Concrete to eat the siding off
