OLYMPIA - The Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission is scheduled to take action on a land transaction and two commercial fishing issues during a telephone conference call scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Friday, June 20.
The commission, which sets policy for the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, will consider approving a 2.4-acre property acquisition in Skagit County, new catch quotas for the commercial spot shrimp fishery and fixed size limits for the commercial sea urchin fishery.
The can listen to the commission's discussion via speakerphone in the commission office on the 5th floor of the Natural Resources Building, 1111 Washington St. S.E., in Olympia.
The commission will hear public comments on the land-acquisition issue, but not on the commercial fishing issues, which were open for discussion during a public meeting earlier this month.
