A friend of mine told me that Wash. State just got its own record book for blacktail. He had two mounts scored and one made the book. I guess in order to get in you have to be scored by June 4 or somewhere in there. Any big wall mounts should be scored!

I think my brother got his blacktail scored. Trying to remember if he did before he went north. Pretty sure he did because I remember him talking about the bigger one losing score because of the extra tines. Both were large enough to make the book if memory serves me correctly. Have to see if he has the scores lying around.

On further investigation he only had one scored which made the books. The other he didn't score but would easily make it in the non typical and the deductions would keep it from the regular book. At the time of scoring it was biggest for the area in typical...a nice one. But I know of some other large head mounts locally that are very nice. Will be fun to see where they end up.
