I don't like to scout this time of year for two reasons. First of I always see alot of deer that I can never find during season. I think that deer activity is highly increased during June and July. Second reason is that if I see a bear, I can not shoot him! Summer time also produces more bears as the berries begin to ripen! Man I wish they wouldn't come ripe until August I do most of my scouting during late August and September.

For Elk the scouting is extremely important unless your bugling them up in rough country. Lets you know whats in a herd and where they like to hang out. Don't think I am hunting again this year..Should go to the Kispiox instead.
