 I heard guys were catching 10lb plus trout at American Falls Reservoir. Does any one have information about this?

Never fished it myself, but understand that this res, plus a few others in that part of the state are known for harboring some large trout. Doubt that many of that size are being caught, but just one that size could make for a great trip.

heading there this weekend with my brothers and father. My bro figured the fishery out below the dam when he went to school there. the trout are frickin huge but the fishing is fairly difficult due to the conditions. We should hammer em. will post reslults when we get back.

Fishing was a little on the slow side. In two days 5 of us landed about 20 rainbows in the 16-20'' range. water temps were in the 70's so I think the fish wernt in much of a feeding mode. Also landed some nice cutthrout. all in all it was a fun trip as my brothers and I dont get to spend much time together anymore.
