you know what? Crow actually is not too bad over mashed potatoes and gravy 
that 68.5 beats anything I pulled out of the water this year
but seriously folks, all kidding aside. Is the outside waters still slow? I've heard some bad reports from guides at Fireweed that kings have been few and far between this year. Text

Last pic of 50lb+ Kings from this season to date. Weights in order of the pics are: 50.0lbs, 68.3lbs, 50.3lbs, 52.4lbs, 53.6lbs, 54.3lbs, 56.0lbs, and another pic of the 68.3lber. Brian, in response to your question about the missing adipose fin on the fish in the first picture. This fish had a definite seal bite on it. Actually the other side of the fish was pretty torn up in that area. This was the "good side" for pictures.

So far 8 over 50lbs. for the season, not good and not bad by our standards for big fish. Starting this past winter I gave up the guiding and took over a management position here. So all my fishing info is now second hand from the guides. From what I've seen and heard, yes this has been the toughest season in my 18 years here. That being said though, I've got to say I've watched all these guys go out everyday and still put fish in the box and show clients that you can still have fun without putting up huge numbers.
