Had a guided drift boat trip on the upper yakima river west of ellensburg tuesday,,,the river and canyon are beautiful and the fish were the prettiest i've seen, only people we saw in 4 hours were some rafters - first serious time with a fly rod, used big dry flies, had a great time and caught fish ...

Nice.. I'd love to fish that river, but if I hauled my boat up there, I'd be on the sticks, and not get to fish much.

That's my favorite river to fish on a fly. I have had the best luck on the Thorpe to E-burg stretch. The pics bring back good memories.

Congrats on the trip. Nice fish and beautiful canyon. Did you see any good sheep. Is the wheat done on the Palouse.
