I would have posted this report earlier but I had to have an appendectomy on August 5th. Just back back to feeling normal today. Talk about going from feeling great to feeling like crap in a short amount of time.
On Saturday, August 2nd I went 6 for 7 on steelhead, landing six in a row without a loss from the bank. The fish ranged from about six lbs to around ten lbs, averaging about eight or nine I figured. I've never landed that many in a row. The best streak I've had before that was three fish in a row. Caught them all on the same two corkies. Pink sparkle with yellow dots, and white with bat wings.
On Sunday, August 3rd I brought some friends down to fish, I just spectated mostly. Watched my Dad land a 14lb fish early on, then once all my buddies left my Dad hooked another nice fish and he fought it down river quite a ways. I finally netted it in a riffle. It was a twin to the previous fish. We had a nice family reunion barbeque at my cousin's house later that evening. Got to see some cousins from Alaska that I haven't seen in years.
Tuesday, August 5th I'm in the hospital in Longview getting my appendix removed. Nice.
Anyway, here's a few pictures of my stringer of steelhead from the 2nd. I'll try and get some pictures my mom took of my Dad's fish later on.

Yup, what Steve said, when they brought the water up from 3,000 to 5,000 cfs last week those fished moved upstream and nothing moved in behind them...it was a great summer!
