I wonder what towing capacity will be? These trucks might sell like crazy, we need American manufacturers to do this on their trucks.

Looks kind of like the Izuzu or Datsun from 30 years ago. I'd say it would tow a drift boat though... I bet it will be a 4 cylinder diesel and a copy of the Isuzu diesel from years ago.

It has the classic Datsun look for sure. Loved those cleats on the bed rails.

150 hp is not a whole lot, but 300 lb./ft. is about knockin on stock full-size diesel territory, and a 300 dollar tuner for these would make a world of difference. My bud hauls around a 17'10" Stryker converted to tiller, so it is a little lighter, but still it gets towed behind a Hyundai, with about 160 hp, and 180 lb./ft. maybe. 23 & 25 ' Vees are a different story, but I would bet that they would do fine, no towin at 80 like my old cummins, but still tow at 60 and getting well over 25 m.p.g. is killer! I'd buy one, just because of the weird looks & comments you'd get. They need to take a look at Aussie 'utes as well...Those are the ultimate trucks, lots af places to strap yo shite to, and super rugged. 'Yotas still have straight axles up front! And diesel power trains!

The HP or Torque don't really matter. Can it stop it and control it with the knockoff? My guess is not! I'd be really surprised if they updated the brakes.

Mr. Perez says the truck's size is close to that of the current Toyota Tacoma, instead of being a 'true compact' pickup.
