In a word slow. Caught a few shakers and had one takedown that didn't stick. Saw one caught early in front of the Slag Pile and that was it. Worked the Slag Pile/Owens Beach area then moved over to Dalco and the west side of Vashon. Should be a lot more silvers there this time of year, not many folks out either.

Good luck and tight lines, Jeff

Wife and I hit it Saturday, no shakers...one small rockfish as we trolled in 50 - 60ft of water along the kelp line(Pt Evans)....hour later we had a nice takedown that stuck, 5lb hen silver in the boat for our first blood this year. Nice to have the skunk off.

Way to go John!! Looking forward to seeing you next week in Sekiu. Yep FJ, best action of the day was watching someone else net what looked to be a 10 - 12 lb king.

Wow, sounds like my old Point D stomping grounds have gone downhill. I used to pick up silvers in Commencement Bay and Brown's Point this time of year. Usually Carbon river runts, if you got one over 6 lbs. that was a nice one for that area.

Can we get a new WDFW Director?
