I've had several rods built and having this information available while talking to the builder would be really handy.

Yes I think this will be a great starting point at the very least if not the rule. I have been working on this for several years now and still will be several months more. All of the parts I will list are the best for the series that they are pertaining too and would be the closest we will ever come to an actual built rod program so do not get your hopes up there you will still have to have one custom built. My intension are to show new potential buyers of the Rainshadow products that’s its really simple to obtain the parts we just have to show them what they are. Honestly I feel that the custom rod building community as a whole has raised the bar so high that most folks seem to think that they cant build there own. Well really you may not be able to do amazing thread art but simply look at the rods on the shelf and there’s nothing special there other than huge inflated cost from marketing etc. Anyone can assemble a rod if they don’t mind basic meat and potatoes we just have to offer products and templates like this that will help encourage them to try or simply do as you said, hand the builder the sheet knowing what the parts cost and let them do there handy work.

This one is an example of what I have been doing and I feel listing what the parts actually are is going the extra mile so not only will we have this information below but also what these parts actually are. This will all be available on our web site and hopefully in time you can simply click on the blank model you’re interested in and this will pop up as well.
This is all inside info of what I have been up to lately but wanted to see what you all thought. Hopefully other companies will follow us with this type of information so we can grow this market!

Kerry,
I find them helpful as you don't appear to make generic recomendations, where all rods of a certain length get the same components and guide spacing.

I think it is a great idea. For those of us who have programs in high schools it would definitely be easier to show kids these charts if they are interested in taking their building to another level. Not to mention making things easier for us to build our own rods. As a matter of fact I think that XST 1264 might be my next project! Thanks again for all of the great work you guys do.
