Our CQ tilla report. new
      #347398 - 09/21/08 11:17 AM

Well we got down there on wed evening and lots of people but not from this board. Finally met up with Jeffhead while cleaning Rockfish at the dock at Coho Resort. Thursday we got lots of shakers and one about 4 lbs and friday we got one around 10 lbs in the am then decided to get somemore gas and head out to the ocean for some Lingcod. Got 24 gallons of fuel at Olsens and headed out into thew ocean and as soon as we hit the big water both of my motors died! Got some rust and dirt in my filters and our weekend was over!!! Not sure if it was the gas from Olsens but everything has been running fine until that purchase.... Nice meeting you Jeff, you guys must have been out fishing when we left. We ahd a good time while it lasted but the fishing was more than tough for us.

Sorry to hear that about the gas. At least you caught some fish!

Yeah, I got both motors running again and it was a fuel problem I couldn't pin point. Seems I wasn't getting enough fuel so the gas seems to be OK. Lets plan the tilla for next year in mid august when we know there will be tons of fish!!!

We spent a lot of time on the water for a very few fish. For 4 1/2 days we boated 5, nice quality as they were 13.5, 12, 11, 7.5 and 6. Nice to meet you Jim, I saw that you had left and wondered what happened. Missed seeing the usual suspects but had a great time with my Dad and Son's. Could not have asked for better water conditions. Wednesday afternoon was snotty but after that it was like a lake for the entire trip, the afternoon winds didn't even come up!! The fishing did not surprise me with the great weather we have been having the last few weeks, needed somne rain to get the fish to move in out of the ocean. This week should be better up there for those that go. As always already looking forward to next year, hope to see more folks come up.

Good luck and tight lines, Jeff
