A little squid told me they have been having a good old time around Illahee and Kingston. Might be time to get out for a little squid jigging.
Happy Squidding!

Anyone catching anything over at Edmonds? That would be the closest place for me.

Have not heard about Edmonds. It is amazing the number of people who stop me in parking lots to talk squid fishing. They tell me what is going on in the areas I do not visit. It might just be worth a ferry ride......

Dropped in at Edmonds last weekend and there was nada... Think it was a fish and game guy that came buy and he said not for another month, and then 'some' will show up.
Didn't make it sound too good.

With th ecurrent rain and forcest, I would think the next few weeks will be tough. All the runoff makes for murky water. Those squid really like clear water. The squid are there and people are cathcing them.

I am sure they are. We had a friend dive at Mukilteo last weekend and she said she saw plenty.

Our orders have increased in the last week so demand is there...it is just know how, when, where, and knowing what jigs to use at what depth, etc...
NOW is always the time to go squid fishing!

But you have to factor in my uncanny ability to be one week too late or two weeks too early.

Hit Edmonds tonight on the falling tide for a couple hours...nada. Got there about an hour after full dark. Not a single squid caught on the pier while we were there. Great weather though, mild, little wind, no rain...if'n your going to get skunked, it's nice to be warm and dry when it happens.
