Just wanted to let everyone know that this years Ducks Unlimited Banquet for the Dungeness Flyway is January 18. If you have never been the banquet is really cool. There is great food and alot of items to be raffled off. There is also a silent and live auction. This is a great place to meet fellow bird hunters.

Blah blah blah... It is at the Crab House in Port Angeles. The cocktail hour starts at 5:30 I believe and then things progress from there. I am not sure of the exact cost. I think that for One membership and a couple dinner the price is $60 I will find out for sure and get back to you. There is also single prices and prices for just dinner.

Dux, The geese are finally hitting one of my fields, going to go on sat. With the snow they should stay productive for a while if you still want to come up for a hunt. You said you have a place to hunt around othello, I work there full time now and scout on my way to and from. There are some geese working in good numbers N of town if thats your area.

Dux, I hope you did better than we did if you hunted. The snow melted and the honkers quit using the field.Its alfalfa. We smoked them in there last year with snow but no snow no geese. Let it snow , let it snow, let it snow. Then on sun we were on are way to a walk in pond. I had 25 or so decs on my pack frame in the boat, but when I got to the parking area they were gone. They either were stolen at the gas station or they blew out on the way. They did have my name on a few of them, I would like to think if they blew out and a "sportsman" found them he/She would return them but i am not holding my breath. Truely a weekend to forget.

Bummer of a weekend. Sorry to here that. I worked with my brother in law on Saturday but got to do a little hunting on Sunday. I managed to shoot two roosters but we got no ducks to come in. Did not try for the geese this time but there was a crap load of them flying.
