Rifle cleaning rest - DIY
      #349329 - 10/05/08 10:57 AM

Anyone have homemade rifle cleaning stands worth sharing? I'd like to make one or two with my son...I was thinking some dado'd together 3/4" ply, some felt and a few little useful tweaks here and there. Not to be used for shooting...just cleaning and general maintenance. Any photos out there for the idea mill?

He's been begging for a little project time lately, and I think we could try a few in plywood and maybe build some keepers down the road with maybe some walnut or maple...something he/we can pass down through the years, or maybe even give as gifts/sell.

Thanks!

If you use plywood look into Baltic Plywood. It is finer plys and looks great when finished. It comes in 5'x5'.
