LOCAL LAKES: Local lakes remain open to angling all year. The following lakes have been stocked recently with legal-sized rainbow trout: Hebo, North, South, Smith, Town, Tahoe, Spring, Cape Meares, and Lytle Lake. All of these lakes were stocked the week of March 18, just prior to spring break. Battle Lake will also be stocked. COFFENBURY LAKE: Fishing for adult steelhead has been slow at times despite recent additions from local hatcheries. A slight increase in water temperature may turn these fish into active feeders. Sunset Lake has also been stocked with adult steelhead. Anglers are reminded that they are only able to keep 1 trout (steelhead) over 20 inches per day.
Town Lake, Cape Meares Lake, Spring Lake, and Lorens Pond have also received large releases of excess adult hatchery steelheadTown Lake, Cape Meares Lake, Spring Lake, and Lorens Pond have received large releases of excess adult hatchery steelhead. Bobber fishing with shrimp seems to be the preferred method.
