New Dodge Truck input
      #351837 - 10/24/08 07:44 PM

Kicking around the idea of upgrading to a new truck. Accountant says I need to spend some money. Who am I to argue
My 06 has 40K on the clock. I like it just fine, but would like more room in the back, so my kids quit kicking the back of the drivers seat. If I upgrade, I will definitely get the megacab.

I've heard of some issues with all the emmissions they placed on the 6.7 and they have problems with sooting up. That is unless you disconnect the EGR.

Anyone have an 07 or newer ? Problems ?

They have a service you can do to to get rid of the EGR build up.

Keep in mind the Quad cab totaly changes the center of gravity of the truck.... No camper and I have heard some people say that it tows a little funny. Lots of room!

No camper eh. Hmmmmmm

I would think it would tow better than my quadcab, due to the longer wheelbase.

I may just keep my truck and add some stuff. Just floating idears.

The problem for the camper is the center of gravity moves back and the Mega Cab is heavier.

I have an '07 mega cab dually & I love it. Lots of room in the back seat & lots of storage behind those seats. I tow a 24ft stock tailer with it & it pulls just fine. The only downside is has HUGE blind spots.Tough to see to much while in reverse or hooking up a trailer.
