Fish finders....what do you use?
      #35208 - 05/09/01 11:38 PM

I just upgraded my fish finder to a sitexx profish II. It has a ton of features along with the dual transducer and the option to add on gps plotter. The detail on the screen makes my old eagle look like a gameboy low on batteries. Do you use your finder to actively find fish and target them or do you use it for depth only?

Hi Marty,
I use a Furuno 1610GF, I love the built in GPS and LCD color screen! I use it mostly for find bottom details since I fish Sturgeon about 70% of the year I wanted one that had clear bottom detail and this one does! When I go off shore I use it to locate fish!

I just got a Bottom Line Tournament HR. It has a great screen on it and great detail. I haven't fished with it much yet, but I am looking foward to using it to find fish as well. It has the new "Sidefinder" technology to read out to the sides of the boat as well. The poor fish don't stand a chance !!
