Last Friday morning I met a freind at Tekelma to throw some flies & floats. My buddy caught & released one Nate and I had a headshake & gone bite. After a while we headed down to Dodge Bridge finding nada. My buddy had to head back to town so I decided to head further up river. After a stop at Casey with no luck I headed to the Chief Hole. After lots of casting and a few breaks I found this hatchery hen who want to play! She ate an Otis Bug with a Glo Bug dropper.

Nice fish Nathan!
Per pic#2, it looks like the dropper is tied to the bend in the hook of the bug. Or is it?

Yes, Tony that it correct. Tied right on the bend of the fly with my go to knot the trilene knot. We could only fish with flies at that time so we tie on the Yarnies we side drift about 12-18" behind the fly. A few days later caught one on the Yarnie dropper that I Hollywooded for a while that stayed hooked up. Never had the dropper come off the fly.

Raining/SNOWING!!! like heck the past couple of days. Freeze level at 3500 feet so watching snow coming down all around me her in the south end of Ashland.
38.2 degrees out side (1222 PDT), COW peeing on a flat rock. For the Rogue no big deal, for the Chetco a VERY BIG deal. Water flow's went from 100'ish cfs to 10,000; fall kings stacked up in very small water to the point the OFGD closed the river .... to re-open 11-1-08. The rains came in the day before.

Interesting varient of the 'Otis Bug' there. Fish numbers are still .... WHINEEEEEE.... but those that are there are 'on the bite.'
