Well, they say a toddler/infant needs to be introduced to a new food 12 times before they like it. So since you guys are having such a hard time understanding these simple words I am typing, you know, the ones that go something like this "I didn't say anything bad about those fighting for our country", I will make sure I remind you at least 12 times how I was not putting down anybody in the service. (That's two times)

Once again, I appreciate everything our men in the service are doing for us overseas, and here on our home soil as well. (that's 3 times)

I think you need to relax a bit and read what I said a little slower.

I listed the reasons why I am not interested in (and not able to even if I was interested in) joining the Military. That is not insulting the military. I feel that people who join the military are doing the right thing. However, I also feel the military has so much control over those who join (regardless if someone willingly signed their civilian life away or not) it can ruin people's lives. Ya, I compared that to slavery, but don't take it the wrong way, I was speaking metaphorically. My friend had no choice in the matter and was dragged back. He wasn't happy with it, and everybody that knew him was hurt to see his life torn apart. But I still respect everybody who fights for this country. (that's 6 times)

Now sit back and think about what you are fighting for overseas. Freedom.

YOU ARE FIGHTING FOR FREEDOM which includes freedom of speech and opinion among many other things.

I never said ANYTHING bad about ANYBODY in the military, but it seems YOU don't respect what you are fighting for. (that's 7 times)

I have the freedom to feel for a friend who's life was changed for the worst after he fought so hard for this country. But that doesn't mean I am putting down those in the military. (that's 8 times).

Ok, I don't have much else to say, but I want to make sure that you guys who don't understand now, do so after you finish reading my post.

So with that said I will repeat myself (read slowly)
I never said anything bad about those in the military. (that's 9 times)
I appreciate those who fight so hard for me to be able to have the freedom express an opinion about an incident that involved a friend who also fought so hard for this country. (that's 10 times)
I listed reasons why I can't, and don't want to, join the military. Nowhere did I mention any disrespect for our soldiers. (that's 11 times)

Ok, I am tired of repeating myself just because you have a hard time understanding what I say. Just read this post twice and that'll be 22 times. If by then you don't understand that I wasn't putting down the military (oh, nevermind, that's 12 times), but merely stating the reasons I don't want to be in it, then you have a real problem.

I am kind of confused as to why some of those who fight for our rights, don't respect when someone uses those rights. Aren't you fighting for our rights? Or are you just fighting for those rights and opinions that YOU are interested in? That really sets a poor image of our military and contradicts what this nation's freedom is all about. In fact, it sounds like a Tyrannic version of a Dictatorship, Communism, Fascism, or Monarchy. "Don't agree? Off with your head!" Maybe those who got upset with what I said would be better off living as a muslim extremist. When someone doesn't agree with them, they kill 'em. With all this rage I have seen here for merely listing reasons why I don't want to join, you would fit in PERFECTLY!
