Looking for the general vibe on this new bow, and the cousin, DZ-36. From what I've read, they are sweet quiet bows. Scary silent. Thanks!

I have only heard good things about those.
But if you are going to be buying a high-end bow, look into the PSE X-Force series. They are an amazing bow all around. The fastest bow out there (not just from manufacturer's claims, but from actual side-by-side tests), very quiet (not the quietest, but still quiet), the highest energy if any bow I have seen.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6LzlgNfHtQ
I just starting shooting a PSE this year and am impressed with the quality, even in their entry-level bows such as the Stinger that I own. I have shot $800 Mathews & Bowtech bows and my $300 PSE Stinger is smoother and gives an equally flat trajectory with just about the same speed.
If you test shoot that DZ-32, make sure to give a detailed writeup on it, because MOST of the info I have read have come from magazine ads, which are biased of course.

Oh god, another Matthews obsessor. *sigh* They are NOT bad bows by any means, but people act like they are God's gift to bowhunters. As if Jesus just came back in the form of an insanely high priced bow. All top of the line bows by all manufacturers are good bows. But the X-Force has been tested against most bows, and I don't know the results of them all but I haven't seen any results by PSE or 3rd party testing showing any bow beating it in tests except for quietness. And I have not heard any Matthews Cult Members post results of their bows kicking the X-Force's ass. You know if any Matthews was tested at greater speed, kinetic energy, bow jump etc... than the X-Force, then it would be preached about on every hunting forum by every Matthews fan.
Btw, if I found a Matthews at as good of a deal as my PSE, and was on the same level or higher, I would have bought one. There are Matthews bows that kick my PSE's ass without a doubt, but I can't afford them. So don't think I hate Matthews, I just get annoyed at their cult members preaching about them on every forum topic about what bow to buy.
I have shot the X-Force Dream Season set at 70lb, and oh my god, that thing is amazing. The 20yd, 30yd, and 40yd pins are the same pin! You literally only have to aim one pin thickness above or below that 30yd pin to shoot 20yd or 40yds accurately.
I'll check out that bow you posted and let you know what I think. I have no doubt it is a killer bow, but just like with religion, all bow companies claim they are the best, so someone from Matthews saying it's true doesn't make it true. Show me proof by 3rd party testing and I will believe. I have already seen that with the X-Force.

I just looked at that Monster XLR8, and if what they say is true, it would definitely be a worthy competitor for the X-Force. In real world tests, every bow shot at much less fps than advertised except the X-Force. So when "Coming Soon" changes to "In Stores Now", we will see the real results.
That Monster XLR8 has a VERY innovative design! Too bad PSE was the innovator of it. I noticed they used the X-Force's past-parallel limb design. It looks an awful lot like the X-Force too. Hasn't Matthews has praised the single-cam design for years, claiming it was superior to dual-cams? Something looks different on that bow. It must be the DUAL-CAMS. I wonder why they now released a dual-cam on a bow they claim is the world's best after putting down that cam system. Hmm... I guess they realized the X-Force was a winning design when they saw it. They did a very nice job on their X-Force knockoff, but they didn't copy the hybrid cam too good.

I just think Matthews bows are waaaay overrated. Overall, they are no better, and no worse, than any of the other top brands. Matthews, PSE, Bowtech, Hoyt, all good bows. No company is "better" than the other, and each person's shooting style, stature, what they shoot for, budget etc... will all determine which company has the best bow for them.
But one thing that really makes a company look bad to me is when they claim to be innovative and making the best bows ever made, and then they copy another company's design. I get a bit defensive when EVERY thread in EVERY forum about what bow to buy ends up with a flood of posts saying "MATTHEWS, THE BEST, F'CK THE REST!", even if they don't carry a bow that meets what the poster was looking for. "I want a $50-$75 practice bow for my 10 year old son to play around with when I shoot." Everybody starts yelling about getting an $800 70lb draw Matthews. It's ridiculous.
I only own a PSE because it had a short axle to axle, 300+fps, and was $200 brand new for a 2008 series Stinger. It retailed for MUCH more, and I found a killer deal, so I bought it. I almost bought a sweet newer model hoyt from a pawn shop, but it was left-handed. I would have bought a Matthews or Bowtech if I found the same deal for a similar package. I am not a PSE fanatic, but I like my bow, and I have seen the results from the X-Force from personally shooting it, and seeing tests for speed, penetration, kinetic energy etc...
If I owned a Matthews, I would still claim the X-Force is the best bow I know of. I said the same things about them when I still owned a Jennings, and had not yet decided what company to buy a new bow from.
So has anybody found out any more info on the Limbsaver DZ-32? And I have to admit, even though I AM a PSE spokesperson, It does look pretty sweet! Just don't tell PSE I said that, I don't want to lose my job.

Thanks for the laugh! YOU need to calm down, take a deep breath, then remember THIS IS THE INTERNET, don't get so worked up over it. Either join a conversation you want to, or stop participating in one you don't. Simple as that. Don't worry about what I am doing, you just do your own thing. Do you think you can handle that?
You act like I was picking you out and targeting you, when in fact I was simply clearing up that I wasn't a PSE-freak, and explaining how those Matthews-freaks got old YEARS ago and how the XLR8 is a complete copy of X-Force (and I know I am not the only one who feels this way).

Ya?
So you call THIS calm? Maybe you didn't know that on the internet, certain ways you type something show your attitude. For example, when someone types with their caps lock on, ends sentences with 5,000 exclamation marks, and makes rude/offensive comments, they are portraying anger and showing that they would be yelling it if they were in person. You are only two years younger than me, so I figured you would know this tidbit of information, this seeing as you grew up during the height of the internet "explosion".

Why don't you just lose the attitude? I didn't do ANYTHING to you. You are putting me down for being an active participator on this forum, telling me to take a break, but YOU are the one getting all pissy at someone unprovoked. If you have such a big problem with me participating in the discussions on this discussion board, then add me to your ignore list. It's real easy to do, and I can hold your hand as I walk you through the process if you would like. That way you don't have to look at my face anymore! I already have one person on my ignore list, and I will be adding you too. So don't bother replying to this, I won't see it.

Yea the one in seattle. They have a short range behind the bow counter. Just ask the guy named Andy and he'll let you shoot whatever you want. Hes not one of those "obsessors" about a perticular kind of bow, which is nice because he'll tell you the positives and negatives about any bow you shoot.

Dogfish,
Haven't had a limbsaver bow in my hands or shot one, I've owned a lot of bows through the years-hoyt, pse, ar, martin bowtech and I have made my way back to the hoyts! Owned an AR which is supposedly and upper end pse and it was a piece of [**whoops**], couldn't get it to tune and it had a lot of vibration, just my 2 cents! Shoot the limbsaver along side some other's and make a decision that way, everyone is different as far as what they like! Good luck!
