One thing that I've noticed in the state of WA, in the 2 years that I've lived out here as of the 13th, is the number of golf courses. One of the best, unspoken places to fish for bass is at a golf course. You don't have to worry about other anglers, and the majority of the time, these fish haven't ever seen a fishing lure, and the competition for food is usually great....soooo they usually bite well.
Call golf courses in the area and find out if they close for business on any days for green repairs, etc. and go fish the hell outta it if it has a lake! Don't worry about it not being stocked because mother nature stocks all warmwater bodies of water in her own little way.
Carry along your ultralight or flyrod too if the action isn't great because more times than not, there are some form of panfish in these ponds and a beetlespin works great.
Or with the long summer hours and the relatively warm evenings, make a night out of fishing.
WATCH OUT FOR GOLFERS AND RESPECT THE GOLF COURSE AS YOU WOULD YOUR OWN YARD....SCRATCH THAT....RESPECT IT LIKE IT WAS THE PRESIDENT'S YARD.......lol....scratch that too.....respect the property is what I'm getting at.
