San Juan Blackmouth new
      #365638 - 02/04/09 07:58 PM

Left Sequim yeaterday afternoon in Bleu Belle. Crossing the Strait of Juan de Fuca was a piece of cake on very flat water. We spent the night at the State Park float in Reid Harbor on Stuart Is.
This morning was beautiful.

We fished Presidents Channel
and Spieden Channel, then ended up for the night at Friday Harbor.
Only heard of one fish taken.
Will fish Thatcher Pass and Lopez pass tomorrow.
So far the weather is beautiful, but fishing sucks.
What's that???? Could be working???? Huh??? Home projects??? Huh???
I'll try to get online tomorrow with another report.
As far as I can see around here, the derby next weekend will be tough!!

Beautiful pic Mitch. While the catching might suck, it sure beats chores at home. Good luck the rest of your trip.

Well.....No fish today either. Lots of guys out prospecting for the derby. Did not see one net fly.
I will fish San Juan Channel on the Lopez side, Hein Bank, and north part of Eastern Bank on my way home tomorrow.
Let ya know.....

Mitch, I think the problem is, your a little to far south, might want to try up around S. Bobs or Santa Cruz maybe the outside of Noyes Is. somewhere
