Lake Leland new
      #36644 - 05/01/01 05:53 PM

Went out to Lake Leland today. A classmate of mine at the college and I were planning on netting some fish, marking them, and recapturing them. We didn't have very good nets so we didn't get any fish. So we got out our poles and trolled around the lake for about an hour or so. I used a silver colored Hus Lure (little spoon I'd never heard of before) and my buddy used a silver little cleo. His spoon had a single hook and it didn't hook very good because he got about 4 bites and didn't land any fish. I got 3 bites and landed 2 of them. They were only 11" and 12" fish, but they fought very well. There was one guy there in a boat and that was it.

Leland grows some nice sized trout. I hear of them usually later in the year. They also have bass and some other warm water fishies.
