WOW! The ice is gone and the fish are eating. The seep Lakes are wide open and if you find the right lake, you are in for some excellent fishing. Some of the lakes are very slow so you need to do some exploring. If you don,t get a bite in 30 min or so try somewhere else.I have limited on the same lake 3 days in a row in less than 2 HRS. 5 of those fish were over 20" the rest were 14 to 16". They are of the sterile variety, fatter than your average football. The difference in the fight between them and the regular trout would be like a winter brat steelhead compared to a summer run.And even better, I don't have to fish around a bunch of gillnets. Will report again next week.
