Cattle point bottom fishing
      #36657 - 04/21/01 04:05 PM

Went out today to run the boat around and decided to hit cattle point with a dart to see if I could trick anything into bitting. To my amazement the place is steaming with huge lings.I must of caught(and realease unharmed) 20 lings over 20 pounds.1 of those fish easily weighed over thirty pounds.Which was caught while realing up a kelp cod. This is the best ling population I have seen in the 10 years I have been bottom fishing. If you get a chance hit the san juans for lings but remeber to catch and release.
