Went fishing with Greg today at Sekiu.....We couldn't buy a hatchery fish today...We did catch a bunch of native silvers....Some with the sinker at the rod tip...fun to do that. We quickly learned to stop reeling the bait completely to the boat as we brought in the line. (line counter reels helps). Water was like glass today except for the tide rips. Gregg had the hot rod for sure...4 dozen bait was fed. Do the native fish know we are going to release them I only had to show how to rig his herring one time..

Was a pleasure getting to meet and show Greg some saltwater fishing.

Marty, thanks for those kind words...I had a blast! Especially that double when we were both reeling in! (Now, if I can just remember where I left my saltwater license ) When I get home to Tennessee, those stripers aren't gonna have a chance...they've never seen a moochin' rig ! We'll definitely have to do it again soon!

I actually thought that was slow action compared to my usual silver fishing. We hit the weather perfect and all those fish are growing growing growing into september hooknoses
