Took one of my Ar's out for a little fun in the sun today. It was one I picked up off an forum. Anyways, I looked it over pretty well before I shot it being as it had never been fired sisnce assembly.
Long story short, when the A$$hat that assembled the stock, he didn't screw it in far enough to retain the springy thingy that holds the buffer tube in place. The first few rounds went off without a hitch, but then......... she wouldn't cycle. WTF!!!
Cracked it apart and the spring was lodged under the bolt. I managed to get the parts seperated and there was no major damage. But, I'm going to have to replace the spring & the dohickey part. Not a big deal.
This question is for Andy specifically because I know he has a skeleton stock. How do I remove the stock. I've looked it over pretty good, but the only thing I can see to take it apart is to remove an expansion pin on the bottom of the small tube.
HELP!!!!!!

Dude, that sucks! Was that your Spikes?
To remove that stock, I'm pretty sure your going to need to remove the nut at the lower, which takes a special tool.

I have an M4 stock wrench, and will bring to RD.
I'll check to see if I have another M4 Buffer, but I think I used it on my build last summer?
I have a ACE Skelton stock on my Coyote gun, should be an Allen screw on the armrest end, holding it onto the buffer tube?

Allen screw on the buttstock, the top one, slide it out and you are good. Takes just a few minutes to fix.
A spare parts kit is a good investment.

Ahhh Haaaaa. Fixed it. As it turns out, there was no allen screw keeping the stock from rurning and backing it'self out and causing the problems. Hoping to run some rounds through it tomorrow to verify the problem has been corrected.
Thanks guys for all your help !!!!!!!!
