After taking the last 4 hunting seasons off the urge to get back into the woods was very strong this past fall. Knowing I didn't want to hunt the modern firearm season anymore I decided to bowhunt next fall.

Shopping for left handed bows sucks. With the downturn in the economy shops are not able to stock the number they used to. I shot a Mathews DXT and a Mission Buckmasters and really liked both of them. I shot a Hoyt Super Hawk and a mid-range Bowtech which both were nice, but didn't feel as good as the Mathews.

To make a long story shorter. I bought a used Mathews Switchback. The bow is in great shape and came with Vapor Trail strings and a Mathews 5 arrow quiver. I ordered the sight and arrow rest Friday and picked up a case and a dozen arrows. Still need to decided on a stabilizer, a release (D-loop) and some broadheads.

Spott Hogg Seven Deadly Pins wrapped
Whisker Bisquit Sure Shot
Gold Tip XT Hunter 7595
Blacks Creek Guide Gear case
Stabilizer?
Release?

I wish it was done now. I'm ready to start shooting it!

I'll post some pics once it's complete.

Watch out

I've got one of those too and love it. Bring it down and we can shoot out back.

I shot F4S's Mathew while I was there. Mind you its been a Long long time since I loosed an arrow but that was one very sweet shooting rig. I could become a cult member very easily myself.
