Lake Angeles new
      #36971 - 05/21/01 12:10 PM

I was thinking about going up to Lake Angeles. I've never been to any high mountain lakes before so I'm not sure what to expect. What should I bring? When is the best time to go to Lake Angeles? I'm not sure when it warms up and the snow melts away. Probably early this year. Any info you guys have on this lake I'd be very happy with. Thanks!

Pepper The trail is a steep grade here are the details for the lake trail from the park website. Last condition update is 4/18 which is a quite awhile ago. http://www.nps.gov/olym/wic/trailrpt.htm#HURRICANE

The snow level looks to be intermitten below 4000ft and continuous after that.

5.1 miles
1850 ft. to 6000 ft
