My good friend kevin in Wenatchee informs me that both Beehive and llily lakes are doing extreamly good and booting out limits. The hot fly is Kate's Turkey followed by the Zug Bug

I also heard that Fish Lake is hot and kicking out some good fish. Have you heard anything?

Ok, I'm going to try this again, Maybe I will get a response, Since sombody else is talking about Wenatchee.
I will be moving to Cle Elum at the end of April, and was trying to figure out the fishing areas around there. I've only been in that area one time and it was'nt to fish, But it looked good. I was there to battle the summer blazes that ripped through the area in 1994. Please! Any info would help. Maybe 3rd time is a charm.

Twistedlarch....I don't know the CleElum area all that well and haven't fished over there in years. However, Pete Lake (Roslyn area) used to be a good hike in lake. I'll bet that when you move there and get settled in all you will have to do is to go to the local shops and ask around. It is a small community in a way and friendly...if you have any Italian blood in you be sure to mention it.

That is perfectly fine as they need a designated driver, they wont care if you are irish italian, or whatever.
Visit lake chelan, it is a place of true beauty, and the lake holds many species of fish, don't fall in though the water is ICE cold!!, and over 1500 feet deep.
Icicle creek tops the list as one of my favorites, it is outside of leavenworth.
There is alot of steelhead and salmon opportunities over there don't you worry, not far from you at all!! I head that way in the summer often!!

i havn't read any other posts that have directed you in any particular direction, but if you're laying flys the stretch from cle-elum down to e-burg on the yakima during summer can't be beat. all the little lakes around e-burg produce some pretty large bows. late summer the fishing becomes solid down the canyon. if you drive down to yakima then up chinook pass, the naches river is a fun time too. head east on i-90 and you'll come to the potholes area, basically pick your lake, and pick your fly. these are all areas i fly fished when i lived in yakima, and generally had good success year round. good luck

Thanks for all the info, I also herd a rumor that Chinook pass right through Cle Elum in the Yakima. Is this true? and can you fish'em? I've done alot of research On Cle Elum. sofar it sounds like my kinda mt. town I grew up in. I guess I will have to learn how to use that fly rod I got for christmas last year. Anyway, I will be there in exactly 2 weeks from today. Can't wait ![[Razz]](images/icons/tongue.gif) . I just hope the Fire season is so bad that I can't fish. Yeah, the Springers return to Cle Elum there's a new hatchery there, I've never visited it so can't give you any details. The Yak is now open for Springers in the river below Rozas dam, dfinitely closed for Springers in Cle Elum (check the regs) but not a far drive for you to where it is open. It's also open year round selective rules, if you were fishing for trout and caught a springer as long as you released it you'd be OK, this you could do in the Cle Elum area. Upper Green river is good for trout, drive over Stampede pass to get there, fish above the closed watershed area, you have to bushwhack a little but it can be worth it if you like small stream trout fishing.
