Dot is now 4 months old and doing very well. She sits, Stays, Comes, Retrives to hand and loads up on command(mostly). She is fully house broken. She has locked up on point but not on birds yet. I plan to take her to a pheasant day hunt locally here to get her in some birds to work.
Today we went to the lake to start the breakin on the new Yamaha Jet Drive Motor and we played in the water. She retrived out of the water as long as she didn't have to swim. She played in the water on her own as well. We also went to Cowboys house and she sat next to me while Dave and I bs for an hour. She is really remarkable well behaved. I wish I could take credit but really it is just her wanting to please and being rather quick to learn. She also went for her first boat ride. Pic tells the story there.

She is a German Wirehaired pointer. I am very pleased with her so far. Time will tell how she hunts.

DD all I have to say is don't use a wing on a fishing rod as my GSP always wanted to retrieve my gear every time I'd cast. He would drive me nuts in the boat.

To late WFFF but I do have her trained to STAY when I tell her to.. well enough to not go after a chunk of steak I let her sniff and then toss to the cats. She also seems to be rather soft mouthed as she will retrive the cats without them going balistic on her. Seems to prefer the head carry.
