So a buddy of mine and I are hitting the opener for lingcod on may 1st.......Ive fished shilshoal marina jetty and edmonds breakwater, but was wondering if there are any other good spots for lings people might be willing to share.....We dont have GPS but Im wanting to try someplace new.......PM me if anyone is willing to share a spot or two.....We will be launching out of everett........Anyone do any good in the san juans?

last year we were out on possesion.......we hooked a small rock cod.....another boat saw it and ran over and parked off our bow, close enough i could have spit in there boat....I was a little pissed off but fished about 10 more minutes, then moved west a ways(200 yrds or so...fished for a couple, hooked a nice ling and here comes the other boat again, parked about 15 ft away......It was a charter boat and i understand wanting to get your customers fish but c'mon....have some courtesy.......wont name them cause they frequent this board but they know who they are.........staying away from possesion, would want to disrupt the armada

Charter did that to me I'd pull hard along side and moor up to him.  When he complained I'd ask the skipper if he needed me to steer his boat/clients to the next spot.

That right there is what we call PolLickers in Texas. Happens all the time there fishing for stripers. Especially if someone sees the birds working around you. I carry cheetos just to drop in the water from time to time to throw off the potlickers. Birds dive for cheetos just like baitfish. LOL

chongo theres a spot on west whibey near fort casey that has a nice rock pile that gos out aways there are a few lings in there but you have to get there by boat. another good spot is deception pass area you can launch at cornet bay on whibey island
