I wanna try to start building my own rods and have been doing a little research on the web, Im gonna start by replacing some guides on old rods that have been bent up and knocked off. My question is what brand of epoxy does everyone use for finishing guide wraps? Ive read that the trick isnt buying a good epoxy but being good at putting it on. But im just curious on what everyone uses. Ive wrapped a few replacment guides so far and wanna finish them and get them ready to fish.
Shaun.

everybody has their opinion, my personal favorite is threadmaster lite. always seemed to be a lot more forgiving than flex-coat.

Classic Rod Coat or Flex Coat! Classic is better!

Don't worry so much about putting on the epoxy, after everything else it's rather anti-climatic. Most mistakes are messing with it to much, or not letting it droop off the excess and self level. It's not like painting, slap it on and leave it do it's job.
