Ketchikan Info new
      #371670 - 03/22/09 07:15 PM

I have a work trip to Ketchikan coming up the week after easter sunday. We will be staying at the Landing right in town and was hoping to get some fishing info from some of you guys from the area. It was sort of a last minute trip so I never really had a chance to do any research or get in touch with any guides/charters from Ketchikan, so any info would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!!!!!!! Hopefully I can sneak in a couple days of fishing while I'm up there!!!!!

Think steelhead, I've done well from mid April to late May on 3 local streams, Ward creek, Ketchikan creek and White river. There are some other very good rivers/creeks within a short floatplane trip of Ktown. Remember, no bait.
Don't know if you'll find any saltwater charters that early, I don't know of any, Grizz might. I wouldn't have very high expectations that early on the salt. Good luck!

Gonna be a short trip. A Week, 8 days max. Nothing has been set in stone yet, my boss still have a few scheduling issues to iron out. If the local streams are gonna be in condition to fish, I might extend my stay for a couple days after the work is done.
