I haven't fished any Oregon water in quite some time and I have a chance to head out for a day and give it a try. I'll probably be on the coast somewhere on the 13th of April. Anyone fishing? Anything good happening? I've heard the Nestucca is producing some pretty good fish. Any weight to this story? I've only fished it a few times when I was little. Where should I go and what to use? Or, any good crabbing, sand shrimp areas. I don't have a boat so I'm limited. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

They are catching some nice springers out of the Umpqua, near Elkton. You need a boat or guide though, virtually no bank access.
Here's a little 47 lb'er from last week.

Tfever, sorry bud, been busy. I hit the 'tucca the first week in March & kicked but! Fished with a couple buds who dont like cameras on the boat but suffice it to say we wacked 'em. The run is tapering off as we speak & historicly does this time of the year. Still some winter fish comeing though & even a few summers & the chance for an early springer. P.M. me if I can help & good luck!
