There was an open spot on a Striper trip so I decided to fill it. We did limit out (3 fish limit) and here's the results. It was more of a fish harvesting trip than a light tackle, sport fishing trip, the fish were overmatched by the gear - that's the way the guide operates. But I did learn a few things.

Some nice fish, nonetheless. Too bad you couldn't have enjoyed them on lighter gear. Wish we had those, and northern pike in some of our waters around here.

Ohhhhhhhh. That's cool! It's too bad you couldn't have used lighter gear. It would have been a blast then!

Sorry this is late, but I have to admit you are looking trim Jeff! That gear looks heavier than we use for Salmon. That would be maybe appropriate if you got into a big one!

Yeah we were equipped to handle the 1 in a thousand 40 lb. fish.
