If the site had a sponsor who provided reel maintenance services how many of you would ship your reels out via snail mail? $20 for basic clean, lube & inspect any replacement parts would be extra.
How many reels would you ship out in a year?

brewer here has been doing reels here for a year now. so far not a paid sponsor. i do ok, but this economic crunch this countys in.... well moneys tight. guess thats why joes went down the tubes.

joes went down brewer becouse no one was buying new reel becouse you were cleaning them all. guess your bad for the econemy.
i would have thought that with all the beer and swag you have brought to tillas in the past you would have at lest a temp sponser spot to see if it worked out for you brewer.

yea well when brewer shows up with lotso beer and guys get shelacked.... well they forget who supplied the beer in 1st place.... i may need to do the sponser thang with marty. but marty would get so shiat tanked at kalama tillas he might not know who i am.
pete i'm noticicing you sig. i still have the "lonnie gain's bigdog2250 lamiglass Zog rod and curado combo". have killed many a kalama fall king on that setup. the curado still has the original PP on the reel. i'm waiting 25 years before i pull it off! and when i do brewer is going to get a bottle of skull splitter ale.... and pour it out on the river rock in in bigdog's memory. speaking of memory, man that guy could spoon like prison cellmate...

If Brewer needed to become a sponsor I suspect he would have already been notified of it. A minor or limited reference to someones business such as in his signature line is generally acceptable but still the site does reserve the right to limit advertising and require payment for the use of the site for business.

If you spend $100+ for a reel then $20 - $25 every couple of years for maintenance is cheap. It's amazing how many reels get tossed instead of cleaned.

If Aunty were to send her reels out, she'd rather send them to Brewer because she knows him.

aunty, i have never opened a lever drag salt reel before. could try. i would try for you of course.
HOWEVER twice in years past i've tried to tinker with 2 seperate penn reels. and well i never got them back together. since that time i've had many requests to clean penns. i refuse to touch those reels. i recently was told they require a certain kinda tool thing to reassemble them. i just refer all penns to ollie damon's.

Brewer, Caveman has managed to get them apart and back together again, so it can't be too hard. However, the "grinding" noise didn't get corrected.

I played with a couple of SGM's Penns for quite a while before I discovered the trick. Hard to explain. Normally you put the parts on the side plate and then the side cap. With Penns, you put parts in side cap and then install the side plate. Reverse process.
