North to Alaska new
      #379886 - 06/22/09 06:26 PM

Just wanted all of you to eat you hearts out. I leave tomorrow For 5 days in Alaska fishing. We will be fishing at Alaska Kingfishers on the nushigak river. Just wanted you all to know I most likely will not be thinking of you while I'm there.

When I return I will most likely post and boast of our conquests.

RonBob

Well I'm having camera trouble and will try and post those when I can.
The fishing was so good it was off the hook. They fished us as long as we wanted each day up to 12 hrs. and we averaged about 50 fish a day. Mostly the fish were in the high teens to 30 lbs. The Kings in the Nush fight like no other King down here. Wild hard take downs, several runs and jumping all along the fight. Doubles were a norm and sometimes triples.
The camp had all the luxuries hot showers , gourmet cook, sleeping tents with bunks and linens and all the food you could eat.
At the end of the day the camp help processed all your fish, vacume packed, frozen and was ready in waxed boxes waiting when we got on the plane home.
We fished plugs, sidedrifted eggs, Bob toman spinners, and a group from Minnesota flyfished. It didn't seem to mater they hit everything.
Bob and Traci put on a great experience.A trip of a life time for me. I guess I know what heaven is going to be like now if not it should be.
