Anyone know where I can get some chromium SS304 Guides? I need to replace a couple on a Lamiglass rod.

I found them at Jann's Netcraft "Berkley SS304 guides" http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/berkley-ss304-guides-df/284300.aspx

Wait a minute, this sin't possible. According to the press over the years, they are many times stronger, slicker and lighter than any ceramic guide. I've never liked them, though I've made a good many dollars over the years replacing them with ceramics. Used to have over 2/3 of a coffee can full of them off Berkeley and other rods.

i wonder whatever happened to truth in advertising? not only will braid cut them over time, but the frames are outrageously flimsy. half the rods with them have bent guides from the factory.
never seen a factory lamiglas with them.

Pac Bay is the producer of the guides, they are now available at any dealer of Pac Bay. Think they call them the Minima series guides to go with the Minima series reel seats that are on the Carrot Stick rods, I've heard they the reel seats don't always fit you reel's foot (too shallow/small of a depression in back half to hold all reels securely) depending on the reel used. Angler's Workshop and all the bigger shops I'm sure can get, or have them now. A small burr on a dremel tool fixes the reel seat problem quickly. I bought a few casting seats to try to see what's all involved and to try various reel, I bet the slightly thicker foot on the spinning reels will be the biggest problem.
